Position Overview:

The Clinical Informatics Representative II plays a crucial role in merging clinical expertise with advanced information management and analytical techniques. This position is pivotal in identifying, defining, managing, and conveying data, information, knowledge, and wisdom within clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support healthcare professionals, patients, and stakeholders in utilizing technology to enhance clinical care.
  • Collaborate with clients and IT teams to accurately identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Engage in the design, development, implementation, education, and assessment of clinical technologies.
  • Advocate for best practices, identify issues, document findings, and escalate concerns as necessary.

The representative will work alongside professionals from various disciplines, fostering an environment of mutual respect and shared values. Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams is essential to promote health and wellness.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in clinical settings with increasing leadership responsibilities.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Epic Clinical Informatics Certification and HIMSS/professional certifications.
  • 1-2 years of relevant informatics experience.

Essential Functions:

The Clinical Informatics Representative II is responsible for:

  1. Providing operational support to local teams, ensuring effective customer service, education, and implementation of clinical changes.
  2. Documenting issues meticulously, including audits and collaborative sessions, with minimal oversight.
  3. Ensuring all issues have measurable outcomes to maintain a rigorous approach to problem-solving.
  4. Upholding RWJBH standards of ethics and culturally competent practice within the team and external collaborations.
  5. Maintaining professional development and continuing education requirements.
  6. Collaborating with Clinical Specialists and local subject matter experts to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  7. Completing additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
