Position Overview:

The Clinical Informatics Representative II merges clinical expertise with various information management and analytical disciplines to identify, define, manage, and convey data, information, knowledge, and wisdom within clinical settings. This role supports healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders in utilizing technology to enhance clinical care. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients and IT team members to address challenges. Involvement in the design, development, implementation, education, and assessment of technology in clinical environments is essential. Additionally, the representative advocates for issue identification, documentation, and escalation.

The Clinical Informatics Representative II will collaborate with professionals from diverse fields to foster an environment of mutual respect and shared values. They will engage with patients, families, and communities in a responsive manner that promotes a team-oriented approach to health maintenance.

Qualifications:

Required:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in clinical environments with progressive leadership roles.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.Epic Clinical Informatics Certification and HIMSS/professional certifications.1-2 years of pertinent informatics experience.

Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Informatics Representative II is accountable for, but not limited to:

1. Delivering operational support to local teams, ensuring customer assistance, education, and the implementation of clinical modifications while coordinating with local subject matter experts (SMEs) to plan, execute, and assess technology and data utilization.

a. This includes but is not limited to:

i. Mobile device assistance, on-site office support, and remote access support.

ii. Support for designated applications as directed by leadership.

2. Thorough documentation of issues, including audits, design sessions, planning, collaboration, and implementation activities with minimal oversight.

3. Ensuring all issues have measurable outcomes to maintain a scientific approach to results with minimal supervision.

4. Upholding a culture within the team and with external collaborations that aligns with RWJBH standards of ethics, culturally competent practice, and effective communication/collaboration. Serving as a resource for Level 1 inquiries.

5. Maintaining required professional development, competencies, and ongoing education.

6. Collaborating with Clinical Specialists and local SMEs in Quality and Regulatory under leadership guidance to ensure optimal practice quality by staying informed of new regulations.

7. Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

8. The applicant is expected to obtain and maintain Epic certification as required by departmental standards.
