Position Overview:

The AV Integration Specialist plays a crucial role within our global engineering division, providing a dynamic work environment that combines remote and onsite responsibilities. This position involves collaborating with various client sites to utilize engineering expertise in the commissioning and integration of video conferencing and audio-visual systems, alongside performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Operations team, project managers, and programmers to deliver fully functional integrated audio-visual systems.
  • Engage with assigned project managers and client representatives throughout the commissioning process.
  • Review project CAD documentation for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to the project manager.
  • Support project managers with regular reporting and manage client-requested changes to project scope.
  • Assist installation technicians and clients with field inquiries and clarifications.
  • Configure UC platforms and manage AV over IP/fiber, including network switch configuration for all AV devices.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Teams and UC solutions, complete AV rack builds, and adhere to client AV standards.
  • Communicate effectively with onsite and remote IT teams to resolve networking issues.
  • Collaborate with programmers for in-room control and audio DSP program setup and testing.
  • Set up device EDID and conduct testing for video over IP/Fiber/HDbT devices.
  • Conduct field testing and resolve issues related to AV control programs and hardware configurations.
  • Complete commissioning QA checklists and escalate any installation or design issues.
  • Manage and archive the final control program and audio DSP code on the project server.
  • Provide training on AV and UC systems to clients.
  • Audio-Visual Solutions May Include:
  • Video systems: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco/Webex, Poly, Google.
  • UC cloud services: Poly RealConnect, Pexip, BlueJeans, Webex, Starleaf.
  • Control Systems: Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC.
  • Audio DSP: QSC, Biamp, ClearOne.
  • Video distribution systems: Crestron DM/NVX, Extron DTP, Kramer HDbT, Aurora HDbT/Fibre.
  • Wireless presentation: Crestron, Barco, Mersive, Extron, Kramer.
  • Digital signage systems: Brightsign, Evertz, VBrick, Barco, Planar, Samsung, LG.
  • Remote monitoring: Crestron Fusion, AMX RMS, Cyviz.
  • Video wall: Samsung, Planar, Barco.
Qualifications:
  • General CTS certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems integration techniques.
  • Proficient in programming audio DSP units and loading Crestron, Extron, and AMX code.
  • Ability to create customer training presentations and user guides.
  • Experience in installing audio-visual, unified communications, videoconferencing, and related systems is strongly preferred.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee L1 and L2 Technicians and take on Team Lead responsibilities.
  • Work Environment: Varies based on client requirements.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically fit, as lifting is required.
  • Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Travel: Flexibility and ability to travel are essential.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical knowledge and proven installation experience with VC and AV solutions.
  • Supervisory or Team Lead experience is advantageous.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital media signage applications and certifications in relevant technologies.
Additional Requirements:
  • Full clean driving license.
  • US Passport/Work Authorization/Clean Background Check.
