Job Title: Full Time Lumber Yard Associate

At Gillman Home Center, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lumber Yard Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading lumber and building materials, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Operate equipment, such as forklifts and trucks, to transport materials and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and trucks, reporting any defects or issues to management.
  • Assist with inventory management, including checking in freight, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining store grounds, assisting customers, and participating in team meetings.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
