Position Overview:
The cashier/customer service associate plays a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional service to all customers.

  • Engage customers with open-ended questions to ensure they receive appropriate assistance from department leaders. Follow up as necessary.
  • Convey customer needs using intercom and two-way radios. Notify the yard team when customers are ready for assistance. Provide customers with the necessary loading documentation.
  • Facilitate quick and efficient checkout processes. Handle customer transactions, invoices, and returns in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform various customer service tasks, including but not limited to cutting keys, filling propane tanks, and assisting with rental agreements.
  • Execute essential tasks such as answering phone calls, restocking inventory in the register area, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front outdoor space, and ensuring promotional materials are current.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and price updates as required.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including common areas, trash disposal, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance, and snow removal as needed.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding customer order statuses and product inquiries.
  • Relay feedback to management regarding service disruptions or customer issues promptly.
  • Open and close the store as assigned.
  • Prioritize customer care while managing your designated area.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining situational awareness and reporting any safety concerns to management.
  • Support other departments as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: This role does not involve direct supervision of others.

Position Type and Expected Hours:

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience is preferred.
