  • Utilize open-ended questions to ensure customers receive appropriate guidance from department specialists. Follow up as necessary.
  • Communicate customer requirements through intercom systems and two-way radios. Notify the yard team when customers are ready for assistance. Ensure customers receive the correct loading documentation.
  • Facilitate quick and efficient checkout processes. Handle customer transactions, invoices, and returns in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform various customer service tasks, including but not limited to key cutting, propane filling, and assisting with rental services.
  • Carry out essential tasks such as answering phone calls, organizing inventory around the register area, maintaining cleanliness in the front outdoor space, and updating promotional signage.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and price adjustments as required.
  • Conduct store maintenance duties, including cleaning common areas, managing waste, sweeping parking lots and sidewalks, and snow removal as needed.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding customer order statuses and product inquiries.
  • Relay feedback to management concerning service disruptions or customer issues.
  • Open and close the store as assigned.
  • Prioritize customer care while managing assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by being aware of surroundings and reporting any safety concerns to management.
  • Support other departments as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Role: This position does not involve direct supervision of others.

Work Environment: The employee will primarily work inside the store, where the noise level is typically low.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 lbs as necessary.
Position Type and Hours:
This is a part-time role, requiring availability for days, evenings, and weekends, totaling 15-20 hours per week.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service preferred.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
