Job Summary

We're seeking a talented technologist to partner with us in changing the world by enabling our teams to deliver products more efficiently, reliably, and quickly. As a Configuration Automation Specialist, you'll work with us to implement Chef/Puppet/Ansible in a distributed environment to standardize and automate our business application team's build, test, and deploy pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible to standardize and automate build, test, and deploy pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure automation solutions
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate system administration tasks
  • Troubleshoot and debug system-level issues in Unix or Linux environments
  • Train, mentor, and share knowledge with team members on automation and scripting best practices
Requirements
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ruby
  • Critical and logical thinking in high-pressure circumstances
  • Experience spinning up VMs and debugging system-level issues
  • Ability to formulate a design strategy from business requirements, concept documents, and verbal descriptions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
  • Programming languages such as Python or Java
  • Understanding of automation deployment processes and techniques
  • Understanding of test automation and continuous delivery principles
