We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Automation Tester at Tredence Inc. in Seattle. Key Responsibilities:- Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts: Utilize appropriate tools and frameworks to create automated test scripts for AWS and Databricks components.
- Identify Test Automation Opportunities: Analyze the AWS and Databricks ecosystem to identify areas for test automation and create a comprehensive test automation strategy.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with development, data engineering, and QA teams to understand product requirements and create test cases for AWS and Databricks functionalities.
- Analyze Test Results: Review test results, identify defects related to AWS and Databricks components, and report them in a clear and concise manner.
- Maintain and Enhance Automation Test Suites: Ensure existing automation test suites for AWS and Databricks environments are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in automation testing.
- Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, pytest) and their integration with AWS and Databricks.
- Knowledge: Understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.) and Databricks components (Delta Lake, Spark, MLflow), as well as data engineering principles and data pipelines.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS.
- Performance and Security Testing: Knowledge of performance testing and security testing for cloud environments.
- AWS and Databricks Certifications: AWS and Databricks certifications are a plus.
