About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth deployment and configuration of our spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement software deployment and configuration management processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
  • Lead configuration reviews and change control activities to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on software configuration management best practices
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and control documents associated with interface definitions between subsystems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or other related industry
  • Proven experience with software development lifecycle and associated configuration management processes
  • Demonstrated configuration control experience on recently developed products from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test, maintenance and sustaining
  • Familiarity with configuration management in safety-critical or standards-compliant projects
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering and 8+ years of experience in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or other related industry
  • Experience with PTC Windchill PLM tools
  • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
