Fuel Service Technician

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Fuel Service Technician to join our team at Ryder. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our fuel services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fueling, washing, and detailing of vehicles.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections on incoming units as per company guidelines; check tire pressure and oil levels; report any service concerns to the shop.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel activities and manage fuel and DEF inventories.
  • Safely maneuver heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs under supervision.
  • Ensure the fuel island area meets Six Sigma standards and perform minor facility maintenance as directed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage of $21.00.
  • Weekly pay schedule.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
  • Must pass a drug test and DOT physical.
