Ryder is seeking a skilled Fuel Service Technician to join our team in Tukwila, WA. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our fueling facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles to meet company standards
- Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units, checking tire pressure, oil levels, and reporting any service issues to the shop
- Record fuel activity and maintain accurate fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation
- Move heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as tire repairs, under close supervision
- Maintain the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and perform facility maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two (2) years or more of related work experience, preferred
- Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to understand customer verbal communication
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email
- High degree of thoroughness and dependability
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
