About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team at Ryder in Tukwila, Washington. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fueling facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units to identify any service issues and report them to the shop.
  • Record fuel activity and maintain accurate fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation.
  • Move heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs under close supervision.
  • Maintain the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and perform facility maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more of related work experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to understand customer verbal communication.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • High degree of thoroughness and dependability.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
  • DOT Safety Regulated Position.
  • Regulated Service Employee.
