Job Summary

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Behavioral Health Services line at Danbury Hospital, ensuring clinical excellence, operating efficiency, and financial strength. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology and relevant licensure (LCSW, RN, or APRN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve throughput and quality of care for Behavioral Health patients across the Nuvance Health network.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate department staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Identify quality and clinical performance variations, providing oversight and driving execution of improvement plans.
  • Coordinate and integrate data analysis to inform performance review and drive material improvement in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and volume/financial measures.
  • Collaborate with IT&S and Clinical Analytics to provide meaningful reports and analysis to facility, division, and corporate leaders.
  • Develop and maintain policies related to behavioral health services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Represent the health system to external stakeholders, demonstrating expertise in programs and services offered.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology.
  • LCSW, RN, or APRN licensure.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and ability to communicate effectively with professionals.
  • Ability to supervise direct staff, make sound decisions, and effectively review financials.
