Child Behavior Support Specialist Position at Autism Behavioral Health

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-home and clinic-based support to children with developmental challenges
  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, focusing on behavior modification, discrete trial training, and enhancing social skills
  • Participate in family and interdisciplinary team meetings as instructed by the Clinical Supervisor
  • Document incidents and communicate with parents, reporting to the management team
  • Engage in staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • At least an Associate's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, or a related discipline
  • Self-driven, accountable, and capable of working autonomously
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and remain composed in challenging situations
  • Experience with diverse populations and families
  • Skilled in managing challenging behaviors and applying behavior modification techniques
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to adhere to instructions
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Possession of valid transportation and liability insurance
