Job Overview

Position Summary

This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual to contribute to our accounting department. The selected candidate will engage in various responsibilities, including managing fixed asset accounting, preparing account reconciliations, and executing monthly closing procedures within our ERP system. A strong grasp of accrual accounting and fixed asset principles is essential for overseeing the Company's fixed assets, reviewing asset entries, and ensuring the accuracy of monthly depreciation expenses.

The candidate will maintain the fixed asset ledger and manage the accounting for the acquisition, disposal, and transfer of fixed assets as required. Additionally, the individual will prepare and uphold the fixed asset roll-forward schedule across different legal entities and address all audit inquiries related to fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee significant accounting accounts to ensure accurate journal entries.
  • Ensure timely monthly closing of financial records in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct accounting tasks while adhering to accounting regulations and the Company's policies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Assistant Controller to guarantee monthly and quarterly account reconciliations based on established risk profiles.
  • Support the maintenance of a robust internal control system to enhance financial data transparency and process efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly internal management reporting package and other necessary analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, particularly in fixed asset management.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct ERP is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are required.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork skills are crucial.

Physical Requirements

  • While fulfilling job duties, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. Frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity are necessary.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
