As a Senior Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing general ledger accounting responsibilities within the organization while actively contributing to the overall strategic direction. This position demands a solid understanding of accounting standards (GAAP) and practices.

Our offerings range from equipment rentals to the sale of high-precision instruments, sourced from top manufacturers globally. With a presence in multiple states, we ensure local support for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all work activities.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations to guarantee precise reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the month-end closing processes adhering to company deadlines.
- Generate and analyze financial records and data for organizational insights.
- Collaborate with other financial roles and departments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local tax regulations.
- Establish and oversee a system of controls and procedures for fixed asset recordation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement automation where feasible.
- Coordinate weekly cash flow updates with the controller.
- Develop processes to enhance the efficiency of the accounting system.
- Support ERP Financial conversion to streamline financial reporting.
- Assist in transitioning to new credit card expense reporting software and maintain this system.
- Prepare documentation for external audits.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing actual performance against projections.
- Help implement accounting procedures for new company acquisitions.
- Provide backup support for other corporate functions as required.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Ledger Accountant is required.
- A 4-year degree in accounting is mandatory.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, JP Morgan Chase, Expensify, and NetSuite.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and Google Spreadsheets.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements and leading change management initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to work beyond 40 hours when necessary and travel occasionally.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, along with effective communication abilities.
