Position Overview
We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Permanent Lead Maintenance Mechanic to become a vital part of our dynamic team in the Manufacturing sector.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in mechanical maintenance, particularly in managing pneumatic cylinders and controls, motors, and demonstrating proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

This role necessitates a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a comparable position.

The successful applicant will be tasked with leading a team of mechanics to guarantee the efficient operation and timely upkeep of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute preventative and corrective maintenance on all production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
  • Lead a team of maintenance mechanics, offering training, guidance, and support to ensure all team members excel in their roles.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues across a variety of equipment, including pneumatic cylinders, controls, and motors.
  • Develop and implement maintenance protocols and schedules utilizing CMMS, ensuring all maintenance tasks are accurately documented and monitored.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify potential areas for improvement and execute strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the acquisition of necessary spare parts and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and avert breakdowns.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar capacity within the Manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical maintenance, including experience with pneumatic cylinders and controls, motors, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Proficient in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical challenges.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and procedures within the manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • High level of physical fitness and capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • A relevant certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field would be advantageous.
