Position Overview
We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Permanent Lead Maintenance Mechanic to become a vital part of our dynamic manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in mechanical maintenance, particularly in managing pneumatic systems, motors, and demonstrating proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
This role necessitates a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a comparable position.The successful candidate will be tasked with supervising a team of mechanics to guarantee the efficient operation and timely upkeep of our manufacturing machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute both preventative and corrective maintenance on all production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
- Lead a team of maintenance mechanics, offering training, guidance, and support to maximize team performance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues across a range of equipment, including pneumatic systems and motors.
- Develop and enforce maintenance protocols and schedules utilizing CMMS, ensuring all maintenance activities are properly documented and monitored.
- Collaborate with other departments to pinpoint potential improvement areas and implement strategies to boost efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance activities, fostering a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of essential spare parts and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and avert breakdowns.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar capacity within the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical maintenance, including experience with pneumatic systems, motors, and other industrial equipment.
- Proficient in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance tasks.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the skill to diagnose and resolve mechanical challenges.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing domain.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration across various departments.
- High physical fitness level, capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and prolonged standing.
- A relevant certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is advantageous.
