Job Summary:

The MidTown Market Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the market, including food procurement, inventory management, and distribution. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Procurement and Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, purchasing, and inventory of food and personal care items, ensuring compliance with Greater Cleveland Food Bank regulations and food safety policies.
  • Food Distribution: Coordinate the daily emergency food bag distribution operations, including scheduling pick-ups and deliveries, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Facilities Management: Schedule operational hours, oversee the opening and closing of MidTown Market, and ensure the safe, clean, and organized operation of facilities and equipment.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and retain volunteers for the safe and efficient operation of MidTown Market, including scheduling and providing direction to volunteers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related experience managing a food pantry, with a strong background in food procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Google, Microsoft Office applications, and Office 365.
What We Offer:
