Job Title: Packaging Manager-Brewer

DC Brau Brewing, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Packaging Manager-Brewer to join our Production and Management Teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our packaging operations, including the canning line, part-time packaging staff, and routine maintenance of packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead canning runs, oversee equipment set-up, shut down, and conversion procedures, and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Manage and schedule part-time packaging staff, train new hires on canning line operations, and coordinate packaging schedules with upper management.
  • Perform inventory of packaging supplies, execute routine packaging maintenance plans, and troubleshoot and repair broken or malfunctioning mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot the automated six-packer, Wild Goose Filler, and Ska Depallitizer, and assist with tracking inventory of necessary packaging materials.
  • Work to minimize product loss and can dissolved oxygen levels, and start up, shut down, and clean equipment regularly according to brewery SOPs.
Requirements:
  • Experience in brewing techniques and applications with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or advanced technical training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as brewery Standard Operating Procedures, DC Brau brewhouse logs, emails, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to write routine brewery-related records, logs, and other correspondence, and speak effectively before industry peers, customers, and/or employees of the company.
  • Ability to work with people and groups with diverse backgrounds, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is moderate, and ear protection is available for any employee who desires it. The workspace is not climate controlled, and employees will work in cool to cold temperatures during winter and hot/humid temperatures during summer.
