About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SpecSys. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including structural, fluid power, and powertrain systems.
  • Perform component selection, CAD design work, and analysis, including FEA.
  • Develop and update project timelines, work instructions, and scope of work projections.
  • Provide technical data to clients, designers, and drafters.
  • Oversee and/or perform FEA analysis to verify structural integrity.
  • Direct preparation of FEA reports for the customer.
  • Prepare project review booklets and present to the customer.
  • Specify and source purchase components to be used.
  • Specify materials to be used in design.
  • May be responsible for working on multiple CAD packages.
  • Reviews CAD models for completeness, interferences, and manufacturability.
  • Review detail drawings for completeness, accuracy, and client standards.
  • Review and update model and drawing tolerances.
  • Generate and review Bill of Materials for completeness.
  • Update and track action / issue items.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Well organized.
  • Ability to interact at a management level with Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality.
  • BS or MS engineering degree in agriculture, mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering disciplines.
  • 0 to 5 years of proven project experience.
  • Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance.
