About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SpecSys. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for mobile equipment, including structural, fluid power, and powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for mobile equipment, including structural, fluid power, and powertrain systems.
  • Perform component selection, CAD design work, and analysis, including FEA.
  • Develop and update project timelines, and provide work instructions for designers and drafters.
  • Collaborate with other SpecSys engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Oversee and/or perform FEA analysis to verify structural integrity, and prepare project review booklets and present to customers.
  • Specify and source purchase components, and specify materials to be used in design.
  • Review CAD models for completeness, interferences, and manufacturability, and review detail drawings for completeness, accuracy, and client standards.
  • Generate and review Bill of Materials for completeness, and update and track action / issue items.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interact at a management level with Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality.
  • BS or MS engineering degree in agriculture, mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering disciplines.
  • 0 to 5 years of proven project experience, or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance.
