Position Overview:

Intelletec Energy is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to become a vital part of our team, working closely with the Director of Engineering as a key contributor.

Our organization is a highly regarded full-service Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm, specializing in intricate medium and high voltage electrical systems throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Operations teams to create precise and thorough cost estimates for clients.
  • Draft, review, and disseminate proposals in alignment with defined project scopes and request for quotation (RFQ) timelines.
  • Conduct site assessments with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams to grasp project requirements and scope.
  • Execute field take-offs and evaluations to aid in the preparation of estimates.
  • Ensure precision and uniformity by comparing various project documents and inputting all proposals into the company’s estimating software.
  • Participate in estimate review sessions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist sales and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring and clarifying cost estimates.
  • Support the preparation of change order submissions as necessary.
  • Conclude projects by finalizing scope definitions and billing requirements in collaboration with the operations team.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or completion of a formal Electrical Trades School is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical testing sector or a comparable electrical power industry.
  • Previous experience as an Estimator on electrical testing projects is beneficial.
  • Strong capability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and other documentation to generate accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Compensation will be based on experience.
