Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a minimum of 4 years in estimating, particularly within the Water/Wastewater and Oil & Gas sectors, to enhance our Field Services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze industrial construction plans to assess the electrical requirements of proposed projects.
  • Evaluate bid documents to define the overall project scope.
  • Identify all necessary documentation for bid submissions and determine the appropriate reviewers or contributors for bid completion.
  • Examine plans and specifications to ascertain material types and grades, solicit quotes, and determine the resources needed to meet project specifications and deadlines.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings or interviews as necessary.
  • Engage with vendors and review plans to obtain accurate vendor quotes.
  • Verify the accuracy of quoted bill of materials.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficient in the tools and principles involved in creating electrical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Familiarity with contract documents, including drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, and change orders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the electrical field, including materials and construction methods.
  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C) and local regulations.
  • Expertise in estimating principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of suppliers and databases relevant to project specifications.
Experience & Education Requirements
  • Experience in Water/Wastewater plants and oil/gas facilities is essential.
  • Proficiency with Blue Beam and Accubid is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of estimating experience in Oil & Gas and Water/Wastewater sectors is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in past projects is necessary.
  • Field experience is advantageous.
  • A high school diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a workstation.
  • Requires continuous vision, hearing, twisting, and verbal communication.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. and prolonged use of a computer keyboard.
