Position Overview:

Intelletec Energy is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to become a vital part of our team, directly reporting to the Director of Engineering. This role is crucial as it involves being the second most senior member within the department.

Our organization is a highly regarded full-service Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm, specializing in intricate medium and high voltage electrical systems across North America, particularly in the Texas region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to generate precise and detailed cost estimates for clients.
  • Draft, assess, and disseminate proposals in alignment with specified scope items and request for quotation (RFQ) timelines.
  • Conduct site assessments with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams to fully grasp project needs and scope.
  • Execute field take-offs and evaluations to aid in the preparation of estimates.
  • Ensure precision and uniformity by cross-referencing various project documents and inputting all proposals into the company’s estimating software.
  • Participate in estimate review sessions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist sales and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring and clarifying cost estimates.
  • Support the preparation of change order submissions as required.
  • Conclude projects by finalizing scope definitions and billing requirements in collaboration with the operations team.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or completion of a formal Electrical Trades School is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical testing sector or a related electrical power industry.
  • Previous experience as an Estimator on electrical testing projects is beneficial.
  • Strong capability to interpret electrical schematics, specifications, and other documentation to formulate accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
