Branch Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to join our team at Restaurant Depot. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Branch, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive company image.
Key Responsibilities:
- General operations of the Branch, including managing personnel issues and supervision.
- Developing strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication and resolving problems effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety, personnel, security, and inventory control.
- Reviewing financial and operational reports and taking necessary actions based on report results.
- Directing subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
- Defining service standards and operational mission of the branch, communicating it to employees, and monitoring activities to meet branch goals.
- Maximizing sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper scheduling of the workforce while meeting budgetary guidelines.
- Managing selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all Management level personnel.
- Directly supervising and managing Assistant Branch Managers and Department Managers.
- Coaching managers on employee relation issues, including new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action.
- Maintaining communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
- Reviewing inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and in-house products.
- Completing and processing necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
- Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
- Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high volume warehouse operation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills, and a strong customer service orientation.
- Commitment to company values and a strong customer orientation.
Work Environment:
- The ambient temperature will be moderate, with cold areas such as the Freezer and hot areas such as the Damages area.
- The work is mostly performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
- Physical labor is infrequent but may be required to move merchandise or clean areas.
- Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) will be moving material throughout the warehouse.
