Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to join our team at Restaurant Depot. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Branch, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive company image.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General operations of the Branch, including managing personnel issues and supervision.
  2. Developing strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication and resolving problems effectively.
  3. Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety, personnel, security, and inventory control.
  4. Reviewing financial and operational reports and taking necessary actions based on report results.
  5. Directing subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
  6. Defining service standards and operational mission of the branch, communicating it to employees, and monitoring activities to meet branch goals.
  7. Maximizing sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper scheduling of the workforce while meeting budgetary guidelines.
  8. Managing selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all Management level personnel.
  9. Directly supervising and managing Assistant Branch Managers and Department Managers.
  10. Coaching managers on employee relation issues, including new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action.
  11. Maintaining communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  12. Reviewing inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and in-house products.
  13. Completing and processing necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  2. Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  3. Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
  4. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high volume warehouse operation.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills, and a strong customer service orientation.
  6. Commitment to company values and a strong customer orientation.

Work Environment:

  1. The ambient temperature will be moderate, with cold areas such as the Freezer and hot areas such as the Damages area.
  2. The work is mostly performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  3. Physical labor is infrequent but may be required to move merchandise or clean areas.
  4. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) will be moving material throughout the warehouse.
