Position Summary:
The Senior Vice President of IT Operations and Development is responsible for leading and managing MCU's IT operational strategies and system development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of IT operations, ensuring seamless daily operations, high system uptime, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Guide and mentor IT operations and development teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on service excellence.
- Assess resource requirements, manage budgets, and optimize cost-efficiency while supporting core operational and development functions.
- Manage vendor relationships, establishing strategic partnerships with technology providers to enhance the utilization of technological solutions and secure favorable pricing.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process optimization opportunities, streamlining workflows, and leveraging technology for enhanced efficiency.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance operational effectiveness and drive innovation.
- Ensure adherence to development lifecycles and standards encompassing business requirements, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide management with regular updates on IT performance metrics, resource usage, budget compliance, and the success of key initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication within the IT department and across other business units to optimize IT alignment and collaboration in support of organizational goals.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget.
- Ensure compliance with relevant company policies, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in IT, with a proven track record of leading and directing complex projects, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated success in planning, organizing, and leading teams and initiatives.
- Ability to inspire, guide, and develop staff.
- Proficient in managing high-volume environments and meeting deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in core banking systems and third-party applications such as Symitar and Microsoft Development platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills for technical and operational challenges.
- Excellent customer service and project management capabilities.
- Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and on a computer.
- High ethical standards.
- Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
