Candidates with expertise in lipid metabolism, cancer cell signaling, tumor immunology, and integrative genomics are particularly encouraged to apply. These positions are available at the Associate or Full Professor level and may offer tenure-track opportunities for qualified individuals.

The institution is renowned for its commitment to advancing cancer research, hosting a diverse team of over 1000 researchers engaged in basic, population, translational, and clinical studies. The center is dedicated to enhancing lives through innovative research aimed at preventing, detecting, and treating cancer, ensuring equitable access to advancements for all.

The center offers a range of shared resources, including Flow Cytometry, Microscopy, Cancer Mouse Models, Biostatistics, Cancer Informatics, Clinical and Translational Research, and Transgenic/Knockout facilities. Additionally, a robust Clinical Trials Office provides essential administrative and regulatory support for ongoing trials.

Role Overview:
This senior faculty role is pivotal in propelling the research agenda forward. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues to leverage the extensive intellectual and scientific resources available, focusing on addressing critical challenges in cancer research. The faculty member will serve as a principal investigator with a specialization in cancer-related metabolism, signaling pathways, or chemical biology. Responsibilities will also include teaching at the graduate level and mentoring students and trainees.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching
The faculty member will demonstrate a strong commitment to effective teaching and mentoring of medical and graduate students, as well as post-doctoral fellows. They will actively engage in providing research opportunities and guidance to junior faculty.

Research
The candidate will enhance the institution's reputation through impactful research and scholarship, securing extramural funding, publishing in reputable journals, and gaining national recognition. They will establish and maintain a vibrant, externally funded research laboratory focused on lipid metabolism and cancer signaling.

The faculty member will oversee the laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, supervising staff, and managing grant applications and publications throughout the academic year. They will also contribute to collaborative research projects and engage with the broader research community.

Service
Participation in institutional committees, peer review groups, and editorial boards is expected.

Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree in relevant scientific fields Extensive experience in cancer research Recognized scholarly portfolio with a history of securing NCI funding Strong publication record Proven mentorship capabilities Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse academic environment Preferred Qualifications:
