Department Overview:
The Kinesiology and Health Sciences Department within the College of Humanities and Sciences is comprised of a dedicated team of 17 full-time educators involved in a variety of clinical, applied, and interdisciplinary initiatives. Our undergraduate program ranks as the third largest at VCU, featuring concentrations in Exercise Science and Health Sciences, which attract a diverse student population. Notably, over 65% of our students identify as racially and ethnically diverse or belong to other underrepresented groups.

Graduate Programs:
Our graduate offerings include a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Behavior Coaching, a Master of Science in Health and Movement Science, and a Doctorate in Rehabilitation and Movement Science.

Position Responsibilities:
As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for instructing undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Exercise Science. Course options include:

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an earned Master's Degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline for undergraduate courses, and a Doctoral Degree in Exercise Science or a related field for graduate courses. Candidates should demonstrate competence in teaching the aforementioned course content. Experience in promoting a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
A proven track record of teaching in higher education with favorable course evaluations is highly desirable.
