About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational manuals to ensure accurate installation and repair of sprinkler systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers and district staff to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Electronically complete service acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
  • NICET Level II desired.
