Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Sprinkler Sales and Estimator to join our team at Apollo Mechanical Contractors. As a Fire Sprinkler Sales and Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating and negotiating new contracts, working with design and field teams to execute projects, reviewing contract documents and drawings, communicating project changes and progress, determining customer needs by conducting site surveys and reviewing your findings with the appropriate customer personnel, preparing and presenting effective proposals that offer solutions to customers, submitting bids and budgets before deadlines or otherwise in a timely manner, attending pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate and negotiate new contracts.
  • Work with design and field teams to execute projects.
  • Review contract documents and drawings.
  • Communicate project changes and progress.
  • Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and reviewing your findings with the appropriate customer personnel.
  • Prepare and present effective proposals that offer solutions to customers.
  • Submit bids and budgets before deadlines or otherwise in a timely manner.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and logistics plans in the context of estimating fire sprinkler system installation or a very closely related mechanical discipline.
  • Must have a basic understanding of fire sprinkler design and layout.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Works well in group problem-solving situations.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and puts success of the team above own interests.
  • Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
  • Accepts responsibility for own actions.
