About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Westin New Orleans. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks to prepare and present high-quality dishes
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food specifications to meet corporate standards
  • Control food and labor costs while maximizing guest satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations, liquor laws, and company policies
  • Train and develop staff to meet corporate quality standards
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Coordinate and execute special events and functions
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules, and liquor laws
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
