Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Integration Specialist to join our team in Fremont, CA. As a key member of our R&D center, you will work closely with development and manufacturing teams to process, inspect, and perform metrology on experimental wafers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process recipes for vacuum tools, including thin film deposition, ion beam etching, and reactive ion etching.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve development tool issues.
- Calibrate and monitor development tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Work with R&D teams to develop new processes and materials, and run experiments to validate results.
- Perform quality control checks on wafers and report any defects or issues.
- Minimum of five years of experience in semiconductor and/or magnetic head wafer processing.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: thin films, CMP, ion milling, reactive ion etching, metrology, lithography.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
