Job Summary
Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our Wafer Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating new wafer technologies and read/write head designs into new HDD products.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate new wafer technologies and read/write head designs into new HDD products.
- Lead the introduction and qualification of new wafer products, and transfer to manufacturing according to product schedule.
- Responsible for building product qualification wafers per schedule according to product roadmap, and creating comprehensive wafer data packages.
Requirements
- Master's degree in physical science or engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong data retrieval and analytical skills.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Prior manufacturing or wafer process development engineering experience preferred.
