We are seeking a highly skilled Property Care Specialist to join our team at Public Storage. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties, including daily storage unit inspections, rental unit inventory management, and general upkeep of facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of properties and conduct daily storage unit inspections to ensure spaces are ready to rent.
  • Confirm rental unit inventory availability and maintain cleanliness of vacant units.
  • Perform tasks such as sweeping/mopping floors, picking up trash and debris, and spraying insecticide as needed.
  • Grease oil springs and door tracks, replace rubber gaskets, and pull ropes and light bulbs as needed.
  • Remove cobwebs from buildings and outside of unit doors, pull weeds growing along buildings and in flower beds, and maintain cleanliness of outside restrooms.
  • Clean fixtures with disinfectant, check property mailboxes, and process mail.
  • Process Bank Deposits & Petty Cash, stock supplies, and report maintenance needs and safety concerns electronically.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operability of golf carts, equipment, and rental trucks.
  • Repair minor leaks in plumbing and perform customer lock cuts upon request.
  • Understand and comply with safety policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to stand and lift boxes, tools, and other materials up to 50 pounds, and possess the visual acuity required to accurately observe and describe maintenance-related issues. The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time (approximately 3-8 hours daily) and work in outside weather conditions.

Working Conditions

The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, such as chemicals, animals, insects, and construction. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to all employees, and they will be trained on the appropriate use of such PPE.
