Account Executive

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to oversee strategic general agency relationships with delegated binding authority in Excess and Surplus Lines within an assigned territory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the profitability, growth, and retention of assigned book of business within a territory that is consistent with overall business line objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite new and renewal business on accounts of moderate complexity, considering different approaches to maximize profitability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with agents and brokers to write and retain accounts consistent with business unit appetite.
- Use consultative marketing and sales skills to market products to agents and brokers, and negotiate skillfully in difficult situations.
- Develop and execute on a plan to meet business objectives, anticipating and identifying moderately complex underwriting and marketing problems.
- Foster collaboration within the business unit and across the enterprise, seeking enterprise-wide solutions to business problems.
- 2 years of Account Executive/underwriting experience required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous Excess and Surplus/non-admitted underwriting experience preferred.
- Industry/business knowledge, product knowledge, and analytical thinking/financial acumen are essential.
