The Guest Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Front Desk team, ensuring that
guests receive exceptional service in a welcoming and professional environment.
Location Overview
At our resort, we offer a tranquil retreat featuring mineral-rich waters designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. Our accommodations provide a unique Southern California experience, complete with numerous soaking pools, wellness activities, spa treatments, and healthy dining options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing levels for front office personnel, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of front desk agents and support staff.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Front Office staff and be prepared to assist as needed.
- Effectively operate the MICROS system for all front office transactions, including less frequent tasks.
- Review and address AM and PM discrepancy reports accurately.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering teams regarding guest room needs and maintenance requests.
- Provide a warm welcome to guests, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out processes while addressing inquiries and assisting with their needs.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, including processing payments and providing accurate change.
- Stay informed about daily hotel activities, including events and local attractions, to enhance guest experiences.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and address guest concerns effectively.
- Consistent attendance in line with established guidelines.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules based on business needs.
- Focus on task completion while managing interruptions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with both staff and guests.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds safely.
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in high-pressure scenarios.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and listening.
- Knowledge of first aid and emergency evacuation procedures.
Compensation: $23.00 per hour
