Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Specialist Job Description
The Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all company vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs on company fleet vehicles
- Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance
- Test equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance
- Respond to service calls
- Complete required paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair required
- Class A Commercial Drivers License and Clean MVR preferred
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification desirable
- Must be able to supply automotive hand tools
- Basic proficiency with computer applications
- Demonstrated automotive, mechanical, and technical aptitude
- Working knowledge of the methods, equipment, and techniques used in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach
