Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Technician Job Description

At TransForce, we are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on our company fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and automobiles.
  • Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of all company vehicles and equipment.
  • Test equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance.
  • Respond to service calls and complete required paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair required.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License and Clean MVR preferred.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification desirable.
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications.
  • Demonstrated automotive, mechanical, and technical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of the methods, equipment, and techniques used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
