Foreman I - Plumber

Job Overview

The Foreman I - Plumber is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and inspecting the assembly, installation, and repair of plumbing components and systems during the construction, renovation, or tenant improvement of commercial and industrial buildings. This role reports directly to the Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning of job tasks, site setup, and construction timelines.
  • Establish and modify work sequences to align with construction schedules, utilizing knowledge of equipment capabilities and personnel assignments.
  • Schedule and coordinate activities of assigned Independent Contractors (IC), ensuring timely delivery of materials and minimizing work stoppages.
  • Operate and supervise the use of construction equipment and machinery, ensuring all certifications are up to date.
  • Inspect ongoing and completed work to verify compliance with specifications and instruct ICs on adherence to testing protocols.
  • Manage the placement and storage of materials, tools, and supplies to support the construction plan.
  • Identify and mitigate job site hazards to enhance safety and reduce incidents.
  • Perform hands-on tasks as necessary to meet project demands.
  • Execute additional duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical contracting as a construction foreman or in a similar role.
  • Possession of a Journeyworker License for Colorado is mandatory.
  • Experience in residential and multifamily construction, with some exposure to light commercial projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated stable work history.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and details, and perform a variety of tasks that may frequently change.
  • Strong planning, organizational, delegation, and control skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary Range: Competitive based on experience.
