Senior Product Manager, Software Solutions at Therma-Tru

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Product Manager, Software Solutions to become a key player in our innovative Connected Products Group software team. This position will be crucial in driving the integration of Therma-Tru's comprehensive home solutions. We seek an individual who is driven by results, focused on customer satisfaction, and enthusiastic about working with advanced technologies that blend software and hardware in the smart home sector.

Location: This position supports a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhancing the Therma-Tru Smart Home Network by implementing new functionalities and improvements that unify various product categories into a cohesive software experience.
  • Leading innovative initiatives and managing the complete launch process of new products and experiences with minimal oversight, in partnership with hardware category leaders.
  • Acting as a software product owner within large agile teams, collaborating with product designers, firmware developers, backend engineers, mobile developers, and quality assurance specialists.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to introduce new products, categories, and ecosystem features to the marketplace.
  • Engaging with category leaders, designers, and engineering teams to refine and enhance platform functionalities.
  • Operating within an agile framework, continuously evaluating business requirements, adjusting priorities, and defining milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and internal clients to define the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
  • Creating, managing, and executing product plans for designated initiatives.
  • Defining and refining outcomes and team objectives for new features and enhancements, including user experience specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritizing and overseeing the sprint backlog for assigned products.
  • Guiding the product functional discovery and design process through close collaboration with product designers.
  • Establishing and maintaining tracking and reporting systems to assess product performance post-launch.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in software product management.
  • 1+ years of experience with connected products.
  • BA/BS degree preferred in a technical field or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Proficient in using Jira for issue tracking and report generation.
  • Strong technical software knowledge.
  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with mobile technologies, connected devices, cloud services, and device firmware.
  • A passion for creating products that resonate with users.
  • Skilled in utilizing data to understand user needs and improve product performance.
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms, cloud services, and connected device firmware.
  • Understanding of comprehensive home solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technologies.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Previous software development experience is beneficial.
