Position Overview: COLSA Corporation is actively seeking experienced professionals for the role of Senior Acquisition Logistician to support critical defense contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the comprehensive planning, management, and coordination of logistics support throughout the entire life cycle of assigned weapon systems or subsystems, ensuring integration of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance functions.
  • Engage in the development and execution of effective systems support strategies that are both comprehensive and cost-efficient.
  • Provide analytical support to sustainment teams, focusing on acquisition management and logistics data pertaining to essential assets, spare parts, tooling, and materials.
  • Contribute to the formulation and upkeep of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP) and Transition Plans (PPTP), executing phased strategies for smooth transitions.
  • Utilize expertise in acquisition logistics to support Air Force systems and procurement activities, managing projects throughout their life cycles.
  • Oversee critical aspects of capability development, production, and deployment, adhering to DoD and USAF logistics policies and financial requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics elements, including spares, support equipment, training, and technical data, ensuring tailored support requirements are met.
  • Assist in defining integrated support requirements related to system design and readiness objectives, conducting analyses on life cycle costs and logistics supportability.
  • Evaluate support alternatives and perform trade-off analyses to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop Life Cycle Cost Management (LCCM) programs and conduct cost analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Identify personnel requirements necessary for the operation and support of weapon systems throughout their life span.
  • Conduct analyses, generate reports, and recommend actions to ensure timely and efficient management of technical data libraries.
  • Assist in determining requirements for flight manuals based on safety considerations and operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • MA/MS degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in the DoD.
    • BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in the DoD.
    • High School Diploma/GED with twenty (20) years of directly related experience, including eight (8) years in the DoD.
