Senior Acquisition Logistician


Position Overview:

  • Assist the Program Manager and Product Support Manager in executing their responsibilities as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager. Provide support to sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and logistics data related to critical assets, spare parts, tooling, and materials.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP), developing and implementing phased strategies for these plans.
  • Oversee all logistics components, including spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning, ensuring that all integrated logistics support requirements are identified and tailored to meet the needs of the directorate. Key personnel will engage in developing long-term supportability strategies that align with the Government's acquisition objectives.
  • Assist in conducting analyses, drafting reports, recommending actions, and performing related tasks that enable logisticians to systematically arrange all maintenance support, including SE, to ensure systems and equipment are mission-ready. This encompasses all maintenance levels and their implementation through partnerships, organic, and contractor support.
  • Provide assistance in areas such as reliability-centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, aircraft battle damage repair, and other maintenance studies; recommend necessary maintenance capabilities for all repair levels, including calibration concepts and plans; track weapon system modifications; support the Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP); identify requirements for interim contractor support, contractor logistics support, and post-production support; develop maintenance activation strategies; and ensure considerations for survivability, corrosion control, and environmental logistics impacts.
  • Engage in various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, cost-effective systems support strategy.
  • Support the production or review of documents for program office use that encompass the full scope of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
  • Assist the program office during all phases, including Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support, ensuring participation in all milestone activities.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in the technical/professional field, capable of performing tasks and overseeing junior personnel within the discipline.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the technical/professional discipline, with a thorough understanding of applicable standards, procedures, and practices.

Required Qualifications:

One of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • MA/MS degree with twelve (12) years of experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • HSD/GED with twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) years of which must be in the DoD.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.

Preference may be given to candidates residing in a Hubzone Area, as defined by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) program for small companies operating in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (Hubzone).
