Senior Acquisition Logistician


Position Overview:

  • Assist the Program Manager and Product Support Manager in executing their responsibilities as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager. Provide support to sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and logistics data for critical assets and related materials.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP), executing requirements in phased strategies.
  • Coordinate logistics elements such as spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning to ensure all integrated logistics support requirements are tailored to the directorate's needs. Engage in developing long-term weapon system supportability strategies aligned with the Government's acquisition objectives.
  • Support analyses, report writing, and recommendations that enable logisticians to organize maintenance support, ensuring systems and equipment are mission-ready. This encompasses all maintenance levels and their implementation through various support channels.
  • Provide expertise in areas such as reliability-centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, and maintenance trade studies; recommend necessary maintenance capabilities and track weapon system modifications.
  • Engage in the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive systems support strategy that is both effective and cost-efficient.
  • Assist in producing or reviewing documentation for program office use that supports acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
  • Support the program office throughout various phases, including Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in the technical/professional field, overseeing junior personnel within the discipline.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and application of standards, procedures, and practices relevant to the area of expertise.

Required Qualifications:

One of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • MA/MS degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in the DoD -OR-
  • BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in the DoD -OR-
  • HSD/GED with twenty (20) years of directly related experience, including eight (8) years in the DoD.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.

Preference may be given to candidates residing in a Hubzone Area, as defined by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA).
