Senior Acquisition Logistician


Position Overview:

  • Assist the Program Manager and Product Support Manager in executing their responsibilities as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager, providing critical support to sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and logistics data related to essential assets, spare parts, tooling, and materials.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP), developing and implementing phased strategies for these plans.
  • Oversee logistics components including spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical documentation, and provisioning to ensure that all integrated logistics support requirements are identified and tailored to meet the needs of the directorate. Engage as a key participant in formulating long-term supportability strategies aligned with the Government's acquisition objectives.
  • Support analyses, report writing, and recommendations that empower logisticians to systematically arrange maintenance support, ensuring systems and equipment are mission-ready. This encompasses all maintenance levels and their implementation through partnerships, organic resources, and contractor support.
  • Provide expertise in areas such as reliability-centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, aircraft battle damage repair, and other maintenance evaluations; recommend necessary maintenance capabilities for all repair levels, including calibration concepts and plans; monitor weapon system modifications; assist with the Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP); and identify requirements for interim contractor support and post-production assistance.
  • Engage in various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, cost-effective systems support strategy.
  • Assist in generating or reviewing documentation for program office use that supports the full spectrum of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
  • Support the program office throughout various phases including Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support, ensuring all milestone activities are addressed.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in the technical/professional field, with the ability to perform tasks and oversee junior personnel within the discipline.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of technical/professional standards, procedures, and practices relevant to the area of expertise.

Required Qualifications:

One of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • MA/MS degree with twelve (12) years of experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, five (5) years of which must be in the Department of Defense (DoD) -OR-
  • BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • High School Diploma/GED with twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) years of which must be in the DoD.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.

Preference may be given to candidates residing in a Hubzone Area, as defined by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) program for small companies operating in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (Hubzone).
