Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager and Product Support Manager in executing their roles as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager; provide support to sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and logistics data related to critical assets, spare parts, tooling, and materials.
  • Aid in the creation and upkeep of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP), developing and implementing requirements in phased strategies for PPTP and TPP.
  • Oversee all logistics components, including spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical documentation, and provisioning to ensure all integrated logistics support needs for the program are identified and tailored to the directorate's requirements. Assigned personnel will contribute significantly to developing long-term weapon system supportability strategies that align with the Government's acquisition objectives.
  • Support analyses, report writing, and recommendations that enable logisticians to systematically arrange all maintenance support, including SE, to ensure systems and equipment are prepared for assigned missions. This encompasses all maintenance levels and their implementation through partnerships, organic resources, and contractor support.
  • Provide assistance in areas such as reliability-centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, aircraft battle damage repair, and other maintenance trade studies; recommend necessary maintenance capabilities for all repair levels, including calibration concepts and requirements; track weapon system modifications; assist with the Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP) and inter-service screening; identify needs for interim contractor support, contractor logistics support, and post-production support; develop maintenance activation planning and processes; ensure considerations for survivability, corrosion control, nondestructive inspection, structural integrity, built-in testing, performance monitoring, and hazardous materials in addressing environmental logistics impacts; and identify, quantify, and assess the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and product support elements.
  • Execute various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, cost-effective systems support strategy.
  • Assist in producing or reviewing documentation for program office use that supports the full scope of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
  • Support the program office throughout various phases, including Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support, encompassing all milestone activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in the Department of Defense (DoD) -OR-
  • BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in the DoD -OR-
  • Twenty (20) years of directly related experience, with eight (8) years in the DoD.
  • Possess advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized expertise in the technical/professional field, with the ability to perform tasks and oversee junior and journeyman personnel.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Skype/Lync), Adobe Acrobat, and web access applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
