Join the National Security Agency (NSA) as a Civil Engineering Specialist

As a professional in the field of Engineering and Physical Sciences, you will leverage your expertise to develop systems and tools that enhance operational intelligence.

Your role will involve advising, managing, and executing projects that encompass the planning, design, and construction of specialized equipment, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and principles.

The NSA provides various focus areas for facilities engineers, including architectural, civil, electrical, fire protection, mechanical, and structural engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates with skills in facilities system control, visualization, and infrastructure systems integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop civil designs, construction plans, and specifications, including design analysis, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct field investigations or studies and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare Architecture-Engineer (A-E) or Design-Build statements of work, performance requirements, and cost estimates.
  • Perform Design Quality Control for in-house and A-E civil designs.
  • Inspect projects under construction, review construction submittals, respond to Contractor's RFIs, and validate as-constructed drawings.
  • Conduct routine and periodic inspections of facilities and provide recommendations.
  • Lead project meetings and manage A-E contractors engaged in engineering services.
  • Provide engineering support during facility emergencies.

Qualifications:

We are seeking highly motivated Civil Engineers specializing in Water Resource, Transportation, or Structural engineering. Your expertise will be critical in solving complex facilities issues and delivering engineering services throughout the planning, design, construction, sustainment, and decommissioning life cycle of NSA facilities.
