POSITION SUMMARY:
EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is currently seeking a junior Structural/Bridge Engineer to contribute to our engineering projects. We are looking for a committed individual who enjoys the challenges of designing, evaluating, and inspecting infrastructure systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Structural/Bridge Engineer at EBA, your duties will include:

  • Conducting structural analysis and design for various transportation structures, including bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and pipelines.
  • Performing load ratings for bridges and other structures.
  • Preparing engineering calculations and producing design documentation.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and reports to formulate design alternatives, repair suggestions, and cost assessments.
  • Engaging in fieldwork, which encompasses site assessments and bridge inspections, along with compiling inspection reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with AASHTO, MDOT SHA, and specific project standards and regulations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To succeed in this position, candidates should have:
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in steel and concrete design.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD for bridge-related projects.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD code requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a Maryland PE license or EIT certification is advantageous.
