About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team at Neiman Marcus Group Careers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner, delivering superior customer service and utilizing suggestive selling techniques to meet sales goals.
  • Merchandise Management: Assist with merchandise selection, merchandise returns, and maintaining the sales floor and stockroom area according to company standards.
  • Register Operations: Handle each register transaction professionally and in a friendly manner, ensuring accurate processing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Omni-Channel Support: Fulfill phone and online orders to support the omni-channel customer experience, ensuring seamless integration across all channels.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of sales floor and product, able to articulate advantages, benefits, and fits of various vendors.
  • Sales Tools: Utilize available tools to foster individual and store sales, including clientele books, clientele call campaigns, and Sales Associate Email.
  • Visual Merchandising: Move and flow merchandise autonomously, maintaining the floor according to company-directed standards, and maintaining department areas by size, vendor, silhouette, color, price, and discount.
  • Phone and Customer Service: Professionally handle phone calls and any customer service issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Inventory Management: Follow policies and procedures for markdowns, re-ticketing, sensoring, and inventory control, identifying and reducing shrink in the department.
  • Annual Inventory: Assist the store team with preparation and execution of annual inventory, ensuring accurate counting and reporting.
Requirements
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Retail Experience: Retail experience preferred, with a strong understanding of luxury retail and customer service principles.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem-Solving and Math Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform general math computations.
  • Computer and Cash Handling Skills: Basic computer skills, with the ability to use a cash register and operate photographic and video equipment.
  • Lifting and Physical Demands: Capable of performing some lifting of up to 25 pounds, with the ability to stand for long periods and move freely throughout the store.
