At Apple, we don't merely create products; we cultivate the kind of awe that has transformed entire sectors.

Our diverse workforce and their unique perspectives fuel the innovation that permeates our endeavors, from groundbreaking technology to leading environmental initiatives.

Be part of Apple, and help us enhance the world for future generations.

We are seeking an individual to become a member of the iPhone LiveOn team.

The LiveOn team is a specialized group within the iPhone Quality organization, dedicated to allowing unreleased products to be utilized by Apple employees beyond the confines of labs, networks, and campuses, through unpredictable real-world scenarios.

Our mission is to uncover and resolve unique, high-impact customer challenges and to gather authentic user feedback and sentiment regarding product performance and features, ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to our customers, fostering the surprise and satisfaction that Apple is renowned for.

This role is highly collaborative, working closely with various Hardware and Software Engineering teams, Design departments, Quality Assurance, and Operations.

If you have a passion for the iPhone, its ecosystem, and the customer experience, and thrive in a dynamic environment where you tackle daily challenges with a proactive mindset, we invite you to consider this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping future Apple products.

The LiveOn Engineering team engages throughout the development lifecycle, collaborating with technology teams and a multitude of enthusiastic employees who test and report issues with unreleased prototype hardware and software.

The LiveOn Engineer will be essential to the program's success, capturing insights, resolving technical challenges, surveying and summarizing customer feedback and sentiment, and enhancing tools.

  • Engage in all facets of a LiveOn program from inception to conclusion: defining the program and requirements, securing approvals, execution, lessons learned, and continuous enhancements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to effectively gather and report user experience feedback.
  • Monitor technical issues identified, collaborating with relevant teams to drive resolution.
  • Develop surveys and tasks that yield critical insights into user behavior and sentiment.
  • Summarize key findings, issues, and takeaways for cross-functional leaders and executives.
  • Manage and oversee device distribution.
  • Conduct device characterization and testing.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Product Development and/or Manufacturing
BS degree in Engineering or Human Factors Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
Quick to grasp new technical concepts, with a solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles across hardware, software, services, and customer experience.
Exceptional at fostering relationships and collaborating across diverse technologies and cross-functional teams in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Able to partner effectively with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate messages, present findings, and propose recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executive management.
High initiative and meticulous attention to detail.
Curious and passionate, eager to address everyday challenges in innovative ways.
Knowledgeable about product development and manufacturing processes.
Data-driven and results-oriented.
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range. This structure allows for progression as you grow and develop within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $151,200 and $227,600, with actual pay dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Additional Benefits:

Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a variety of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple, including tuition.

This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance. Learn more about Apple Benefits.
